We will keep you abreast of all updates as they become available.

Most Important

This page will be updated as things continue to change. For the most updated information on university operations during the coronavirus outbreak, visit the Coronavirus Information webpage. This is the first line of communication from the university and supersedes everything on this page.

It's very important to continue to check your YSU email.

If you feel symptoms of the coronavirus (such as a fever or cough), contact your athletic trainer or a healthcare provider IMMEDIATELY. More information is on the 'Healthy Practices' section of this page.

If you have questions for your coach or an athletic support staff member, email or call them to avoid any unnecessary in-person contact.

All questions or concerns should be directed to your coach first and then to your sport administrator.

Safety & Health Guidelines

Stay Home if you are Sick. Daily health assessments should be performed before coming to campus. This should include checking for a fever (100.4 or greater) and other COVID-19 symptoms. There will be temperature-screening stations located throughout campus for those who cannot do this from home. If you are sick, DO NOT come to campus and contact your Athletic Trainer

Practice Social Distancing. Ensure a minimum of six feet between people at all times. Where this is not possible, appropriate barriers or other controls must be used to reduce transmission between people. Stagger work schedules to minimize the number of people in one area at a time. State guidelines limit occupancy of an area to 50 percent of the permitted fire code and a maximum of 10 people gathered for a single event. Limit the use of elevators and other areas that cannot accommodate social distancing.

Practice Good Health Hygiene. Regularly wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue and wear face coverings to reduce the transmission of droplets to others. State guidelines require people in public settings to wear a face covering of some type to reduce the virus transmission to others. This is not for your personal protection but for the protection of others.
